  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

WIPI2, or WD repeat domain phosphoinositide-interacting protein 2, is a key player in cellular processes such as autophagy and membrane dynamics. Its importance has been highlighted in various pathological conditions, including cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. The protein contains a PI3P-binding domain, which allows it to interact with phosphoinositides and play a critical role in the regulation of autophagosome formation. Research on WIPI2 has proliferated in recent years, focusing on its molecular mechanisms, interactions with other autophagy-related proteins, and potential as a therapeutic target. The reconstitution of WIPI2 as a recombinant protein provides a valuable tool for understanding its structure and function in detail. This approach allows researchers to explore its binding properties and role in cellular signaling pathways in a controlled environment. Furthermore, recombinant WIPI2 can be utilized in biochemical assays, high-throughput screening, and structural studies, paving the way for the development of novel autophagy-modulating drugs. The ongoing investigation of WIPI2 and its recombinant form underscores its significance in the broader context of cellular homeostasis and disease, as well as the potential for innovative therapeutic strategies that harness the autophagy pathway.
