Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCTK2 (Polo-like kinase 2) is a serine/threonine kinase that plays a pivotal role in cell cycle regulation, particularly in the processes of mitosis and cytokinesis. It is a member of the Polo-like kinase family, which is known for its essential functions in orchestrating various aspects of cell division and ensuring proper chromosome segregation. Dysregulation of PCTK2 has been implicated in several malignancies, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic target in cancer treatment. Previous studies have indicated that PCTK2 is involved in key cellular processes such as DNA damage response, cell proliferation, and apoptosis. The role of this kinase in cellular signaling pathways, particularly those related to tumorigenesis, offers valuable insights into its functional significance and therapeutic potential. Researchers have increasingly focused on characterizing the structural and functional properties of PCTK2, which could reveal new opportunities for drug development aimed at targeting its activity. The production of recombinant PCTK2 protein has become a crucial step in this research, allowing scientists to study its biochemical properties, interaction with other proteins, and the underlying mechanisms involved in its functions. Understanding the molecular dynamics of PCTK2 not only contributes to our knowledge of cell cycle regulation but also aids in the exploration of novel cancer therapeutic strategies by potentially inhibiting its aberrant activities in tumor cells.
