  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CDK14 (Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 14) is a member of the CDC2/CDK family of serine/threonine kinases, which play critical roles in cell cycle regulation and transcriptional control. Investigating CDK14 is particularly relevant due to its involvement in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and response to stress. Recent studies have demonstrated that CDK14 is overexpressed in several types of cancers, suggesting that it may act as an oncogenic factor, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions. Additionally, CDK14 is known to interact with RNA polymerase II, influencing alternative splicing and transcriptional regulation, which further underscores its importance in gene expression and cellular function. By producing and characterizing recombinant CDK14 protein, researchers aim to gain insights into its biochemical properties, regulatory mechanisms, and interaction networks. This research could provide valuable information for developing novel cancer therapies and understanding the broader implications of CDK14 in cellular homeostasis and disease. The increased focus on CDK14 also aligns with the growing interest in targeting specific kinases in cancer treatment and precision medicine approaches. Thus, the study of recombinant CDK14 not only furthers our understanding of basic cellular biology but also opens avenues for innovative therapeutic strategies in oncology.
