Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCDHGB2 (protocadherin gamma subfamily B member 2) is a member of the protocadherin family, which is a subset of the cadherin superfamily of cell adhesion molecules. These proteins play crucial roles in the development of the nervous system, influencing neuronal differentiation, survival, and synaptic function. The interest in PCDHGB2 stems from its potential involvement in various neurological conditions and its role in intercellular adhesion, which is vital for the formation and maintenance of neural networks. Research has indicated that abnormal expression of PCDHGB2 may be linked to psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia and autism spectrum disorders, highlighting its significance in neurodevelopmental research. Moreover, the study of PCDHGB2 as a recombinant protein can provide insights into its structural and functional properties, which are key to understanding the mechanisms by which it mediates cell-cell interactions in the nervous system. By exploring its interactions and signaling pathways, researchers aim to elucidate the role of PCDHGB2 in cellular processes and its potential as a therapeutic target. The production of recombinant PCDHGB2 protein allows for detailed in vitro and in vivo studies, facilitating the understanding of its biological functions and implications in health and disease. Overall, the investigation of PCDHGB2 holds promise for advancing our comprehension of neural biology and developing novel strategies for the treatment of related disorders.
