Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCDHa13, a member of the protocadherin alpha (PCDH) gene family, plays a crucial role in the development and functioning of the nervous system. This family of proteins is known for its involvement in cell-cell adhesion and signaling, critical processes for neural connectivity and synaptic function. Recent studies have highlighted that PCDHa13 is implicated in various aspects of neural circuit formation and maintenance, making it a candidate for understanding neurodevelopmental disorders. Moreover, its unique expression patterns in specific neural tissues suggest that it may contribute to the establishment of specialized neural networks. As researchers continue to explore the structural and functional attributes of PCDHa13, the development of recombinant protein variants becomes essential for elucidating the mechanisms by which PCDHa13 influences neuronal behavior and interactions. By investigating these proteins, scientists aim to bridge the gap between molecular biology and neurobiology, potentially uncovering therapeutic targets for conditions associated with PCDH dysregulation, such as autism spectrum disorders and schizophrenia. The recombinant expression of PCDHa13 offers a pathway to create robust models for studying its adhesion properties and interactions with other proteins, paving the way for advances in understanding the role of cadherins in both health and disease.
