Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
HLCS (Holocarboxylase Synthase) is a crucial enzyme involved in the biotin metabolism pathway, primarily responsible for the post-translational modification of biotin-dependent enzymes. Understanding the function and regulation of HLCS is significant in fields such as biochemistry and molecular biology, as biotin is essential for various metabolic processes including fatty acid synthesis and amino acid catabolism. Deficiencies or dysfunctions in HLCS can lead to severe metabolic disorders, emphasizing the need for in-depth research on this protein. The study of HLCS can reveal insights into its role in diseases associated with biotin deficiency, and its potential implications extend to therapeutic interventions. Recent advances in recombinant protein technology offer methods for producing HLCS in vitro, enabling detailed studies of its structure and function. This research not only contributes to our fundamental understanding of biotin metabolism but also aids in the development of novel strategies to combat biotin-related metabolic disorders.
