Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Protein Description
Cas12a, a member of the CRISPR-associated protein family, has garnered significant attention in the field of molecular biology due to its unique properties and potential applications in genome editing and biotechnology. Discovered as part of the Type V CRISPR system, Cas12a exhibits a distinctive ability to recognize and cleave specific DNA sequences, enabling precise modifications of genetic material. Unlike its better-known counterpart, Cas9, Cas12a provides several advantages, including a simpler guide RNA structure and the capability to target a wider range of DNA sequences. Its dual RNA-guided activity allows for programmable genome editing with minimal off-target effects, making it an attractive tool for gene therapy, agriculture, and synthetic biology. Additionally, ongoing research into the structure and function of Cas12a is essential for understanding its mechanisms and optimizing its efficiency in various applications. Studies exploring the protein's potential to detect viral RNA and other nucleic acids have also emerged, highlighting its versatility beyond genome editing. Overall, the continued investigation of Cas12a as a recombinant protein holds promise for innovative solutions in genetic engineering and diagnostics, paving the way for transformative advancements in medicine and biotechnology.
