Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SULF2, a member of the sulfatase family, is an enzyme that plays a critical role in the regulation of heparan sulfate (HS) sulfation, which is crucial for various biological processes, including cell signaling, development, and tumorigenesis. The modification of HS by sulfatases like SULF2 can influence the interaction of growth factors, morphogens, and extracellular matrix components with their receptors, ultimately affecting cellular functions such as proliferation and differentiation. Abnormal expression of SULF2 has been linked to several diseases, including cancer, where it appears to modulate tumor growth and metastasis by altering HS-dependent pathways. Understanding the structure and function of SULF2 through recombinant protein studies could provide insights into its enzymatic mechanisms and regulatory roles, potentially leading to the development of targeted therapeutic interventions. Researchers utilize recombinant DNA technology to express SULF2 in heterologous systems, allowing for the detailed study of its biochemical properties, substrate specificity, and interaction with HS. These investigations are crucial for elucidating the pathophysiological implications of SULF2 in disease and may pave the way for novel strategies in cancer treatment and regenerative medicine.
