Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
RAB18 is a member of the Rab family of small GTPases, which play crucial roles in intracellular vesicle trafficking and membrane dynamics. Research on RAB18 has gained prominence due to its involvement in various cellular processes and its association with several diseases, particularly hereditary disorders like choroideremia and some forms of childhood obesity. The protein is primarily localized to the endoplasmic reticulum and lipid droplets, indicating its potential role in lipid metabolism and storage. Studies have shown that RAB18 regulates the formation and maturation of lipid droplets, which are essential for maintaining cellular energy balance and responding to metabolic stress. Additionally, RAB18 is implicated in the transport of proteins and lipids between cellular compartments, making it a key player in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Due to its critical functions, RAB18 has become a target for investigating therapeutic strategies for metabolic diseases and understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying lipid-related disorders. The generation of recombinant RAB18 proteins has facilitated detailed biochemical and structural studies, paving the way for elucidating its precise mechanisms of action and interactions within cellular pathways. As a result, the study of RAB18 not only enhances our knowledge of basic cellular functions but also opens avenues for potential clinical applications in treating metabolic and neurodegenerative diseases.
