Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MTHFD2L, or Methylenetetrahydrofolate dehydrogenase 2-like protein, is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in the one-carbon metabolism pathway, which is essential for nucleotide synthesis and cellular proliferation. This enzyme is particularly important in certain tissues with high demands for nucleotide biosynthesis, such as proliferating cells and cancerous tissues. The study of MTHFD2L has gained traction due to its potential implications in cancer biology, as altered expression of this enzyme has been associated with various malignancies. Furthermore, MTHFD2L is involved in regulating cellular folate levels and may contribute to the metabolic plasticity of cancer cells, allowing them to adapt to fluctuating nutrient environments. Understanding the functional mechanisms and regulatory pathways of MTHFD2L can provide insights into its role in tumor metabolism and may offer therapeutic targets for cancer treatment. The production of recombinant MTHFD2L proteins has enabled researchers to study its biochemical properties, interactions, and effects on cellular metabolism in a controlled environment. As a result, ongoing investigations into MTHFD2L are shedding light on its significance in both healthy and diseased states, highlighting the enzyme as a promising candidate for further research in metabolic disorders and cancer therapeutics.
