Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CAPN11, or calpain-11, is a member of the calpain family of calcium-dependent cysteine proteases that play critical roles in various cellular processes, including cytoskeletal remodeling, signal transduction, and apoptosis. The study of CAPN11 is particularly relevant in the context of reproductive biology and neurological function, as it is expressed predominantly in testis and brain tissues. Recent research has indicated that CAPN11 may be involved in sperm motility and fertility, highlighting its potential impact on male reproductive health. Additionally, emerging evidence suggests that dysfunction of calpains, including CAPN11, may contribute to neurodegenerative diseases and other pathological conditions. Given the importance of CAPN11 in these physiological processes, the characterization of its recombinant protein is essential for understanding its structure-function relationships, enzymatic activity, and regulatory mechanisms. The generation of recombinant CAPN11 protein allows researchers to conduct detailed biochemical assays and crystallographic studies, paving the way for the identification of inhibitors or modulators that could serve as therapeutic agents. Furthermore, exploring CAPN11’s binding partners and substrates may uncover novel pathways and mechanisms affected by calpain activity, contributing to a more comprehensive understanding of its role in health and disease. Thus, the investigation of CAPN11 recombinant protein serves as a critical step towards elucidating its biological functions and potential therapeutic implications.
