  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

UTP6 (U3 small nucleolar RNA-associated protein 6) is a key player in the biogenesis of ribosomes, essential for cellular function and growth. Research into UTP6 has gained momentum due to its involvement in the assembly of the small nucleolar ribonucleoprotein complexes that facilitate pre-rRNA processing. Mutations in UTP6 have been implicated in various diseases, including cancers and developmental disorders, highlighting its relevance in human health. The protein is part of a larger network of proteins and RNA that cooperate in the modification and processing of rRNA transcripts. This intricate mechanism underscores the importance of UTP6 in cellular homeostasis and gene expression. Recent studies using advanced techniques such as cryo-electron microscopy and X-ray crystallography have elucidated the structural and functional characteristics of UTP6, paving the way for potential therapeutic interventions targeting its pathways. Understanding the precise role of UTP6 in ribosome biogenesis not only contributes to our knowledge of fundamental cellular processes but also opens avenues for addressing the pathological conditions associated with its dysfunction. Given the critical nature of ribosome assembly in cellular physiology, ongoing research into UTP6 may provide insights into novel treatments for diseases linked to ribosomal dysregulation.
