Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
BIRC6, also known as X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis protein (XIAP)-associated factor 1, is a key member of the inhibitor of apoptosis protein (IAP) family that has garnered significant attention in cancer research and apoptosis regulation. The protein's primary function involves the inhibition of programmed cell death, a process crucial for maintaining cellular homeostasis and survival. Dysregulation of BIRC6 expression has been implicated in various cancers, where it may contribute to tumorigenesis by allowing cancer cells to evade apoptosis and resist chemotherapeutic agents. Recent studies have demonstrated that BIRC6 interacts with multiple signaling pathways, influencing cell proliferation and survival mechanisms, thus establishing itself as a potential therapeutic target. The production of recombinant BIRC6 protein allows researchers to investigate its functional properties, including its role in signal transduction and apoptosis inhibition. By elucidating the mechanisms underlying BIRC6's actions, scientists aim to better understand its contributions to cancer development and progression, paving the way for novel therapeutic strategies that can selectively target BIRC6 pathways to enhance the efficacy of existing cancer treatments. Additionally, the study of BIRC6 provides insights into the broader IAP family, enhancing our knowledge of apoptosis regulation and its implications for various diseases.
