Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
FGD5 (Facilitates GTPase Domain-Containing 5) is a member of the increasingly significant formin family of proteins, which are known to regulate actin cytoskeleton dynamics. Research into FGD5 has garnered attention due to its critical role in cellular processes such as cell migration, adhesion, and signaling, which are essential for various physiological and pathological phenomena, including development, immune responses, and tumorigenesis. FGD5 has been implicated in several diseases, notably its association with neurodevelopmental disorders and certain cancers, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. Its unique structure includes a GTPase domain, which interacts with Rho-family GTPases, linking signaling pathways to cytoskeletal rearrangements. Understanding the mechanisms by which FGD5 functions at the molecular level could provide insights into its role in health and disease, paving the way for new treatments. Consequently, recombinant protein studies focused on FGD5 aim to elucidate its biochemical properties, interactions, and functional consequences in various cell types. By generating and characterizing FGD5 recombinant proteins, researchers hope to dissect its regulatory mechanisms, which may ultimately lead to the development of innovative therapeutic strategies for FGD5-related disorders. Overall, investigations into FGD5 are poised to contribute significantly to our understanding of cytoskeletal regulation and its implications for human health.
