Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
FGD2 (Facilitates GTPase Development 2) is a member of the FGD family of guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs) that primarily regulates Rho GTPases, which play crucial roles in various cellular processes such as cytoskeletal dynamics, cell motility, and signal transduction. Mutations in the FGD2 gene have been associated with congenital disorders such as congenital heart defects and intellectual disabilities, highlighting its critical role in normal developmental processes. The study of FGD2 recombinant proteins is essential to understand the mechanisms by which FGD2 modulates Rho GTPase activity and how its dysregulation can lead to pathophysiological conditions. By purifying and characterizing FGD2 recombinant proteins, researchers aim to explore their structural properties, interactions with Rho GTPases, and regulatory mechanisms. This research not only contributes to the fundamental understanding of GEF function but also has potential implications for therapeutic strategies targeting associated diseases. Additionally, understanding FGD2's role in cellular signaling pathways can provide insights into broader biological questions, such as cell differentiation and tissue development, paving the way for future studies in developmental biology and medicine.
