  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

UBE1C (Ubiquitin-activating enzyme 1C) is a crucial enzyme involved in the ubiquitin-proteasome system, which regulates protein degradation and homeostasis within cells. This enzyme plays a significant role in tagging proteins for degradation via the attachment of ubiquitin molecules, thus influencing various cellular processes such as cell cycle regulation, DNA repair, and signal transduction. Research on UBE1C has gained prominence due to its implications in cancer biology, as altered expression and activity of ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes like UBE1C can lead to uncontrolled cell proliferation and tumor development. Additionally, UBE1C has been identified as a potential target for therapeutic intervention; its inhibitors might serve as novel anti-cancer agents. Understanding the structure-function relationship of the UBE1C protein, along with its interaction with other proteins in the ubiquitin pathway, can provide insights into its role in disease mechanisms and open avenues for drug development. As a result, the recombinant expression and characterization of UBE1C are of significant interest to researchers, facilitating the study of its enzymatic activity and potential as a biomarker or drug target in various malignancies.
