Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
TMC7 (Transmembrane Channel-like Protein 7) is a member of the TMC family, which is associated with various physiological processes, including calcium signaling and sensory perception. Recent studies have implicated TMC proteins in the functioning of mechanosensitive ion channels, particularly in the context of hearing and touch sensation. The interest in TMC7 has grown due to its potential roles in various health conditions, including neurodegenerative diseases and sensory disorders. Research into the recombinant form of TMC7 aims to elucidate its structure, function, and interaction with other cellular components. By producing recombinant proteins, scientists can study TMC7 in detail, exploring its biophysical properties and its role in cellular signaling pathways. Understanding the mechanisms by which TMC7 operates could provide insights into how its dysfunction contributes to disease, paving the way for novel therapeutic strategies. As a fundamental step in this research, recombinant TMC7 proteins are used in various assays to investigate their ion channel activities, binding partners, and their physiological relevance in model systems. This work not only enhances our understanding of TMC7’s biological significance but may also have implications for the development of targeted treatments aimed at mitigating the effects of disorders related to TMC7 dysfunction. Overall, the study of TMC7 recombinant protein represents a crucial intersection of molecular biology, physiology, and medical research, highlighting the importance of proteomic studies in advancing our comprehension of complex biological systems.
