Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
TMC4 (Transmembrane Channel-like 4) is a member of the TMC family, which is thought to be involved in various physiological processes, including ion channel function and cellular signaling. Recent studies have spotlighted TMC4 as a critical player in mechanosensation, especially within the auditory system and other sensory pathways. Mutations in the TMC4 gene have been linked to hearing impairments, highlighting its importance in cochlear function. The study of TMC4 recombinant proteins is essential for elucidating its structural and functional characteristics, as well as understanding the mechanisms by which it contributes to cellular excitability and signal transduction. Recombinant protein expression systems enable researchers to produce TMC4 in a controlled environment, allowing for detailed biochemical and biophysical analyses. By investigating the properties of TMC4, researchers aim to uncover its role in neuronal and sensory cell physiology and potentially identify therapeutic targets for hearing loss and other related disorders. The understanding of TMC4’s function could have far-reaching implications for developing novel approaches in regenerative medicine and treating sensory deficits.
