Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
EIF5A (Eukaryotic Translation Initiation Factor 5A) is a crucial protein involved in the translation process, specifically in the initiation and elongation phases of protein synthesis. Research has revealed its unique role in facilitating the translation of specific mRNAs, particularly those encoding polyproline-rich proteins. EIF5A is characterized by the presence of a distinct post-translational modification, hypusination, which is essential for its activity. The synthesis of EIF5A and its functional consequences have been linked to various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and stress responses. Abnormal EIF5A expression or function has been implicated in multiple diseases, including cancer, where it can influence tumor growth and survival. As a consequence, the recombinant production of EIF5A has garnered significant attention in the field of molecular biology, enabling detailed studies of its structure-function relationship and providing insights into its biological significance. Furthermore, the exploration of EIF5A’s interactions with other cellular factors and its role in translational control is crucial for understanding its contribution to normal physiology and disease states, making it a potential target for therapeutic intervention. Thus, the investigation of recombinant EIF5A not only enhances our comprehension of its fundamental biological roles but also paves the way for innovative strategies in treating diseases associated with its dysregulation.
