Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ZDHHC13, a member of the zinc finger DHHC-type palmitoyltransferase family, plays a crucial role in the post-translational modification of proteins through palmitoylation, a process that modulates protein localization, stability, and function. This enzyme catalyzes the attachment of palmitic acid to cysteine residues, impacting various cellular processes including signal transduction, membrane trafficking, and neuronal development. Research has linked ZDHHC13 to several neurodegenerative diseases and cognitive disorders, making it a significant target for understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying these conditions. The recombinant expression of ZDHHC13 has become essential for elucidating its biochemical properties and interaction with substrates. Studies employing recombinant ZDHHC13 assist in dissecting the roles of palmitoylation in health and disease, contributing to potential therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating this post-translational modification. Overall, the investigation of ZDHHC13 through recombinant protein techniques forms a critical foundation for advancing our knowledge of its biological functions and implications in human health.
