Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of EIF2A, or eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2A, has gained significant attention due to its critical role in the initiation of translation, a fundamental process for protein synthesis in eukaryotic cells. EIF2A is pivotal in the formation of the translation initiation complex, facilitating the binding of the initiator tRNA to the ribosome in a GTP-dependent manner. Research has shown that EIF2A is not only essential for normal cellular function but also plays a significant role in cellular responses to stress, such as starvation and viral infection, where it helps to modulate protein synthesis and maintain cellular homeostasis. Furthermore, alterations in EIF2A activity are implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, which underscores its potential as a therapeutic target. Recent advances in genetic and biochemical methods have enabled the generation of recombinant EIF2A proteins, allowing researchers to study its structure and function in greater detail. The characterization of these recombinant proteins aids in elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying translation initiation and stress response pathways. Overall, the investigation of EIF2A and its recombinant forms is crucial for understanding the intricacies of translation regulation and its implications in health and disease, paving the way for novel therapeutic strategies.
