Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
XAB2, or XPA-binding protein 2, is an essential protein implicated in several cellular processes, including DNA repair, transcription regulation, and the maintenance of genomic stability. Research on XAB2 has gained momentum due to its critical role in the nucleotide excision repair (NER) pathway, a key mechanism that cells use to repair bulky DNA lesions caused by environmental factors like UV radiation. Mutations or deficiencies in NER components, including XAB2, are linked to numerous genetic disorders, such as xeroderma pigmentosum and Cockayne syndrome, which highlight the importance of studying this protein. XAB2 interacts with various proteins involved in the DNA damage response, suggesting it acts as a multifunctional hub in coordinating cellular repair mechanisms. Understanding the structure and function of XAB2 can provide insights into its role in disease pathology and may reveal potential therapeutic targets for conditions resulting from impaired DNA repair systems. Recent advancements in molecular biology techniques, such as CRISPR-Cas9 and structural biology approaches, have allowed for more in-depth investigations into XAB2’s interactions and functions. Consequently, ongoing studies aim to elucidate the precise molecular mechanisms by which XAB2 contributes to genomic integrity and cellular homeostasis, paving the way for novel insights in cancer research and the development of treatments for related conditions.
