Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PTCH1 (Patched 1) is a crucial component of the Hedgehog signaling pathway, playing a pivotal role in embryonic development and cellular homeostasis. Mutations in the PTCH1 gene are linked to various human conditions, including Gorlin syndrome, which predisposes individuals to multiple basal cell carcinomas and other neoplasms. The study of PTCH1 recombinant proteins has gained importance in understanding the molecular mechanisms governing cell signaling and cancer biology. Researchers often focus on the expression, purification, and functional analysis of PTCH1 to elucidate its interactions with ligands like Sonic Hedgehog and its downstream effectors. By utilizing recombinant technology, scientists create PTCH1 proteins that can be studied in vitro, providing insights into its structural properties and biochemical functions. Additionally, these studies are crucial for developing therapeutic strategies targeting Hedgehog signaling in cancer and other diseases. Investigating PTCH1 recombinant proteins also aids in the identification of small molecules or monoclonal antibodies that can modulate this pathway, potentially leading to innovative treatment options. Overall, the exploration of PTCH1 recombinant proteins stands as a significant advancement in tumor biology and developmental research, highlighting the importance of this protein in health and disease.
