Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
WNK4 is a serine/threonine kinase that plays a crucial role in the regulation of blood pressure and electrolyte balance. It is part of the WNK (With No K) family of kinases, which are essential for various cellular functions, including ion transport and cell volume regulation. Dysregulation of WNK4 is implicated in several pathologies, particularly in conditions like familial hyperkalemic hypertension and the related pseudohypoaldosteronism type II, where mutations in the WNK4 gene lead to altered salt and potassium homeostasis. The study of WNK4 is significant for understanding the mechanisms behind these disorders and could potentially inform the development of targeted therapies. Researchers have focused on characterizing the protein's structure, activity, and interaction with other signaling pathways to unveil its functional roles in renal physiology and hypertension. Additionally, understanding the phosphorylation sites and regulatory mechanisms of WNK4 can provide insights into its modulation and therapeutic potential in cardiovascular diseases. As such, WNK4 serves as a vital target in biomedical research, with implications extending to drug development aimed at treating hypertension and electrolyte imbalances.
