Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
XRCC5, also known as Ku70, is a vital protein involved in the repair of double-strand breaks in DNA, playing a crucial role in the non-homologous end joining (NHEJ) pathway. This pathway is essential for maintaining genomic stability and integrity, and its dysfunction is linked to various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. Research on XRCC5 recombinant protein aims to elucidate its structural and functional characteristics, which are critical for understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying DNA repair. Recombinant XRCC5 can be expressed and purified for biochemical assays, enabling researchers to investigate its interactions with other key proteins and to assess its role in cellular responses to DNA damage. Furthermore, studying XRCC5 and its variants can provide insights into the development of therapeutic strategies for diseases associated with DNA repair deficiencies. The exploration of XRCC5 also holds potential in gene therapy and the design of drugs that target DNA repair mechanisms, highlighting its importance in both basic research and clinical applications.
