Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
VPS18, a member of the VPS protein family, plays a crucial role in endosomal and lysosomal trafficking, which are essential processes for maintaining cellular homeostasis. Research has shown that VPS18 is involved in the biogenesis of multivesicular bodies (MVBs), which are key intermediates in the degradation of cellular components and in the release of extracellular vesicles. Given its significant role in intracellular transport pathways, VPS18 has garnered attention in the context of various diseases, including neurodegeneration and cancer. Studies have indicated that alterations in VPS18 function can lead to disrupted cellular signaling and impaired autophagy, contributing to pathophysiological conditions. The recombination and expression of VPS18 in different cellular models facilitate the investigation of its functional mechanisms and interactions with other proteins within the trafficking pathways. Moreover, understanding the structural characteristics and regulatory mechanisms of VPS18 can provide insights into potential therapeutic targets for diseases associated with vesicular transport dysfunction. Thus, research into VPS18 recombinant protein not only advances the knowledge of cellular transport dynamics but also has significant implications for developing novel treatment strategies for VPS18-related disorders.
