Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
UGGT1, or UDP-glucose glycoprotein glucosyltransferase 1, plays a crucial role in the quality control mechanism of protein folding within the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). This enzyme is responsible for the specific addition of glucose moieties to misfolded glycoproteins, facilitating their recognition and subsequent refolding or degradation by the ER-associated degradation (ERAD) pathway. The functioning of UGGT1 is vital in maintaining cellular proteostasis, particularly under conditions of stress where protein misfolding is prevalent. Dysregulation of UGGT1 has been implicated in various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and certain types of cancer, emphasizing its significance in both physiological and pathological contexts. Research on recombinant UGGT1 has gained momentum due to its potential applications in therapeutic strategies, where enhancing its function might improve protein misfolding diseases. Additionally, the availability of recombinant UGGT1 allows for detailed studies on its enzymatic mechanisms, substrate specificity, and dimerization properties, providing insights into its broader biological functions. By understanding the structural and functional characteristics of UGGT1, scientists aim to design innovative solutions to target diseases linked to protein misfolding, further highlighting the importance of this enzyme in both basic and applied biomedical research.
