Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
STARD3, or StAR-related lipid transport protein 3, is a member of the START (StAR-related lipid transfer) protein superfamily, involved in lipid and sterol transport within cells. Its primary function is to facilitate the transfer of sterols and other lipids between membranes, playing a crucial role in cellular lipid homeostasis and signaling. Research on STARD3 has gained attention due to its implications in various biological processes, including cholesterol metabolism, steroidogenesis, and cellular responses to stress. In addition, STARD3 has been linked to pathological conditions such as cancer and neurodegenerative diseases, making it a potential therapeutic target. As the interplay between lipid transport and cellular function becomes increasingly understood, studies of recombinant STARD3 proteins are essential to elucidate their molecular mechanisms and interactions. Advances in biotechnological techniques have enabled the expression and purification of STARD3 as a recombinant protein, allowing for in-depth studies of its structure, function, and role in lipid trafficking. Understanding the detailed mechanisms by which STARD3 operates may provide insights into its role in health and disease, paving the way for novel interventions aimed at modulating its activity in various conditions.
