Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLC7A7, also known as the lysosomal cysteine transporter, is a member of the solute carrier (SLC) family and plays a critical role in the transport of amino acids across cellular membranes. This protein is particularly significant in lysosomal function, where it facilitates the export of cysteine, the precursor to vital biomolecules such as glutathione, which is essential for cellular redox homeostasis and detoxification processes. Mutations in the SLC7A7 gene have been implicated in cystinuria, a genetic disorder characterized by the accumulation of cystine in the urinary tract, leading to kidney stones and other complications. The study of SLC7A7 recombinant protein has gained traction due to its potential therapeutic applications. By understanding the structure, function, and regulatory mechanisms of SLC7A7, researchers aim to develop targeted therapies for cystinuria and related disorders. The production of recombinant SLC7A7 allows for detailed investigations into its transport mechanisms and interactions with other proteins, providing insights into lysosomal biology. Moreover, this research can contribute to the broader understanding of amino acid transporters in various physiological and pathological conditions, making SLC7A7 a focal point for clinical and biotechnological advancements in treating metabolic disorders linked to amino acid transport dysregulation.
