Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLC6A16, a member of the solute carrier (SLC) family, is a putative sodium-dependent transporter that has garnered interest due to its potential role in the transport of various amino acids and other substrates across cell membranes. Research suggests that SLC6A16 may be involved in important physiological processes, including nutrient absorption and neurotransmission, highlighting its significance in both metabolic pathways and neurobiology. Mutations or dysregulation of SLC6A16 have been associated with several disorders, including neurological and metabolic conditions, emphasizing the importance of understanding its function at the molecular level. The expression and characterization of recombinant SLC6A16 proteins in heterologous systems, such as yeast or mammalian cells, are crucial for elucidating its transport mechanisms, substrate specificity, and regulatory mechanisms. By studying the structure-function relationship of SLC6A16, researchers aim to uncover insights into its transport activity and potential therapeutic implications, paving the way for developing novel treatments for diseases linked to its dysfunction.
