Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLC4A4, also known as the Sodium Bicarbonate Cotransporter 1 (NBC1), is a crucial membrane protein that plays a key role in the regulation of bicarbonate transport across cell membranes, contributing to various physiological processes such as acid-base homeostasis and cell volume regulation. Abnormalities in SLC4A4 function have been linked to several pathophysiological conditions, including metabolic alkalosis and developmental issues related to the central nervous system. The exploration of SLC4A4 as a recombinant protein has become increasingly important in understanding its structure-function relationships, mechanisms of action, and potential therapeutic applications. Techniques like gene cloning and protein purification enable researchers to produce functional SLC4A4 for biochemical and biophysical studies. Investigating SLC4A4’s interactions with other proteins and its role in cellular responses to environmental changes has significant implications for drug design and development. Moreover, enhanced knowledge of SLC4A4 can lead to better-targeted therapies for conditions resulting from its dysregulation, including renal disorders and neurological diseases.
