Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
TGS1 (Tgs1-like protein 1) is a crucial enzyme involved in the capping and regulation of messenger RNAs (mRNAs) in eukaryotic cells. Its primary function includes adding a 7-methyl guanylate cap to the 5’end of mRNAs, playing a pivotal role in mRNA stability, nuclear export, and translation efficiency. Research on TGS1 has gained attention due to its potential implications in cancer biology, where aberrant mRNA processing can lead to the dysregulation of essential genes. Understanding TGS1's structure and function can elucidate the mechanisms of mRNA capping and its influence on gene expression. Recent studies employing recombinant TGS1 proteins have facilitated investigations into its enzymatic activity and inhibition, providing insights into the role of TGS1 in various cellular processes, including stress responses and developmental pathways. This research ultimately aims to identify potential therapeutic targets for diseases associated with mRNA regulation abnormalities. Overall, TGS1 serves as a focal point in RNA biology, contributing to our understanding of post-transcriptional modifications and their broader implications in health and disease.
