Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLC27A1, a member of the solute carrier family, encodes a fatty acid transport protein primarily responsible for the uptake of long-chain fatty acids into cells. This transport is crucial for various physiological processes, including lipid metabolism, energy production, and cellular signaling. Abnormalities in SLC27A1 function are linked to several metabolic disorders and diseases, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. Understanding the structure and function of SLC27A1 is essential for elucidating its role in these conditions. Furthermore, the recombinant expression of SLC27A1 allows for detailed studies of its biochemical properties and interactions, facilitating the development of potential therapeutic targets. Recent advancements in protein engineering and expression systems have improved the yield and functionality of recombinant SLC27A1, paving the way for comprehensive studies on its transport mechanisms and regulatory pathways. Researchers are increasingly focusing on characterizing its substrate specificity, transport kinetics, and interactions with other cellular components to gain insights into its role in health and disease. This focused research not only enhances our understanding of SLC27A1 but also contributes to the broader field of lipid metabolism and transport, with implications for developing novel strategies to combat related diseases.
