Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLC26A3, also known as the solute carrier family 26 member 3, is an important protein involved in anion transport across epithelial cell membranes. It plays a crucial role in the absorption of bicarbonate and chloride ions in the intestines, facilitating electrolyte balance and fluid secretion. Mutations in the SLC26A3 gene are linked to congenital chloride diarrhea and other gastrointestinal disorders, highlighting its significance in human health and disease. Research on recombinant SLC26A3 proteins allows scientists to investigate the structure-function relationship of this transporter, explore its transport mechanisms, and understand how defects contribute to disease phenotypes. Recombinant expression systems enable the production of large quantities of the SLC26A3 protein, which can be used for functional assays and structural studies. By studying the reconstituted protein in artificial membranes, researchers gain insights into its ionic selectivity, regulation by intracellular signaling pathways, and interactions with other cellular components. This knowledge not only enhances our understanding of anion transport but also aids in developing potential therapeutic strategies for diseases associated with SLC26A3 mutations. Overall, the investigation of SLC26A3 recombinant proteins is pivotal for elucidating the biological roles of this essential transporter and addressing related pathophysiological conditions.
