Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Research on the COX4NB recombinant protein has gained significant attention due to its critical role in cellular respiration and energy metabolism. COX4NB, or cytochrome c oxidase subunit 4 nondiphtheria, is a nuclear-encoded protein that is a component of the cytochrome c oxidase (CCO) complex, the terminal enzyme of the mitochondrial respiratory chain. This complex plays a vital role in transferring electrons during oxidative phosphorylation, producing ATP, the primary energy currency in cells. Disruptions or mutations in COX4NB can lead to impaired mitochondrial function and are associated with various metabolic disorders and conditions, including neurodegenerative diseases, cardiomyopathies, and aging-related pathologies. Understanding the structure and function of the COX4NB protein is essential for elucidating the mechanisms underlying these diseases and developing potential therapeutic interventions. Recent advancements in recombinant DNA technology allow for the expression and purification of the COX4NB protein, facilitating in-depth studies on its biochemical properties and interactions with other mitochondrial components. This research not only enhances our knowledge of mitochondrial biology but also opens avenues for novel treatment strategies targeting mitochondrial dysfunctions.
