Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SKI (Sloan Kettering Institute) is a protein that has garnered significant interest in biomedical research due to its critical roles in various cellular processes, including growth regulation, differentiation, and oncogenesis. The SKI protein acts as a transcriptional co-regulator, particularly known for its ability to repress the transcription of specific genes involved in the TGF-beta (Transforming Growth Factor-beta) signaling pathway, which plays a fundamental role in controlling cell proliferation, apoptosis, and immune responses. Dysregulation of SKI expression or function has been implicated in several types of cancer, making it a potential therapeutic target. Recent studies have focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms by which SKI influences tumorigenesis; revealing its interactions with other transcription factors and signaling molecules. Additionally, research has explored the role of SKI in development and tissue homeostasis, highlighting its importance beyond cancer. With advancements in protein engineering and manipulation techniques, scientists are now investigating the potential of SKI-based therapies for cancer treatment, aiming to restore normal TGF-beta signaling and inhibit tumor progression. The research surrounding SKI continues to evolve, fostering a deeper understanding of its biological functions and therapeutic implications, positioning it as a promising candidate in the fight against cancer and other diseases linked to TGF-beta pathway dysregulation.
