  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

SGIP1 (SGIP1, also known as SH3-domain containing GRB2-like protein 1) is a crucial adaptor protein involved in various cellular processes, particularly in endocytosis and signal transduction. It is known to interact with clathrin and other binding partners, playing a significant role in the regulation of membrane trafficking, which is critical for maintaining cellular homeostasis. Recent research has highlighted SGIP1's involvement in synaptic function, where it modulates the endocytosis of neurotransmitter receptors, impacting neuronal communication and plasticity. Understanding SGIP1's molecular mechanisms is essential for elucidating its role in neurological disorders, as dysregulation of endocytic pathways has been linked to conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and schizophrenia. The production of recombinant SGIP1 protein provides a valuable tool for studying its structure-function relationship and interactions with other proteins in vitro. This research can pave the way for identifying potential therapeutic targets, as modulating SGIP1 activity may offer new strategies for treating diseases associated with synaptic dysfunction. Furthermore, characterizing SGIP1 in various cellular contexts enhances our comprehension of its broader implications in cell signaling and development, thus highlighting its biological significance.
