  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CMTM8, or CKLF-like MARVEL transmembrane domain containing 8, is a member of the CMTM gene family known for its roles in various biological processes including cell signaling, apoptosis, and immune responses. Recent studies have highlighted its potential involvement in cancer biology, as CMTM8 may influence tumor progression and immune evasion through its effects on cell adhesion and the tumor microenvironment. The gene is also associated with neurological functions, linking it to conditions such as Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a hereditary neuropathy. Given its multifaceted roles, CMTM8 has garnered attention as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target. Research on the recombinant protein of CMTM8 aims to elucidate its structure-function relationships, explore its molecular interactions, and understand its mechanistic pathways in both normal physiology and disease states. Through the production of recombinant CMTM8 protein, scientists can investigate its biochemical properties, analyze its role in cellular processes, and assess its potential as a therapeutic agent. The ongoing study of CMTM8 not only contributes to the understanding of its biological significance but also holds promise for developing innovative strategies in cancer treatment and neurobiology.
