  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

SF3A1, a crucial component of the spliceosome, plays a significant role in the splicing of pre-mRNA, a fundamental process in gene expression regulation. Mutations in the SF3A1 gene have been implicated in various diseases, particularly cancer and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), highlighting its importance in cellular processes. Research has shown that SF3A1 interacts with other splicing factors, influencing the assembly and function of the spliceosome, which catalyzes the removal of introns from precursor mRNA. Understanding the structure and function of SF3A1 and its interactions can provide insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying splicing regulation and its implications in disease. The development of recombinant SF3A1 protein facilitates detailed studies of its biochemical properties, interactions, and role in splicing, paving the way for potential therapeutic approaches targeting splicing pathways in disease contexts. Investigating the functional consequences of SF3A1 mutations on splicing fidelity and downstream gene expression will enhance our understanding of its pathophysiological roles, ultimately contributing to novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies in oncology and other related disorders.
