Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CLCN6, a member of the chloride channel family, plays a pivotal role in maintaining cellular chloride ion homeostasis and is implicated in various physiological processes. Mutations in the gene encoding CLCN6 have been associated with specific neurological disorders, including the neurodevelopmental condition known as mental retardation. Understanding the structure and function of CLCN6 is crucial not only for elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying these conditions but also for developing potential therapeutic strategies. The recombinant protein expression of CLCN6 allows for the detailed investigation of its biophysical properties, ionpermeation characteristics, and interactions with other membrane proteins. Such studies can provide insights into the channel's physiological role in neuronal excitability and its contributions to the etiology of CLCN6-related disorders. Given the growing interest in ion channels as therapeutic targets, the development of CLCN6 recombinant protein represents a significant step forward in both fundamental research and applied biomedical science.
