Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CLCN5, a member of the chloride channel family, plays a crucial role in various physiological processes, particularly in the kidneys where it is predominantly expressed in renal proximal tubules. Mutations in the CLCN5 gene are linked to Dent's disease, a rare genetic disorder characterized by proteinuria, hypercalciuria, and kidney stone formation. Understanding the structure and function of CLCN5 is essential for elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying this disease. Recombinant protein studies of CLCN5 are instrumental in this regard, as they allow researchers to investigate the channel's biophysical properties, ion selectivity, and regulatory mechanisms in a controlled environment. By producing and analyzing recombinant CLCN5 proteins in heterologous systems, scientists aim to characterize its various states, interactions with other proteins, and effects of clinically relevant mutations. Such research not only enhances our understanding of renal ion transport but also holds the potential for developing targeted therapies for individuals affected by Dent's disease and other related disorders. Overall, the study of CLCN5 recombinant protein serves as a foundational step toward deciphering its physiological roles and pathological implications.
