Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SEC14L5, a member of the SEC14 protein family, plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism and cellular signaling. Research into SEC14L5 has gained momentum due to its potential involvement in various physiological processes, including membrane trafficking, lipid droplet dynamics, and energy homeostasis. The protein's structural features and its ability to bind phospholipids have sparked interest in its function within the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus, where lipid synthesis and distribution are vital. Additionally, mutations in SEC14L5 have been linked to metabolic disorders and impaired lipid storage, highlighting its importance in maintaining cellular lipid balance. Studies have also explored SEC14L5’s interactions with other proteins, contributing to our understanding of lipid signaling pathways and their implications in diseases such as obesity and diabetes. As the demand for insights into metabolic regulation grows, SEC14L5 emerges as a promising target for therapeutic interventions aimed at restoring lipid homeostasis and improving metabolic health. Understanding the mechanisms governing SEC14L5 activity and regulation could pave the way for novel strategies in managing disorders associated with lipid metabolism.
