Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The AP1B1 protein, a subunit of the AP-1 adaptor complex, plays a crucial role in intracellular trafficking, particularly in the sorting of transmembrane proteins at the trans-Golgi network and endosomes. Understanding AP1B1 is essential due to its involvement in various cellular processes, including the transportation of proteins to lysosomes and aiding in signal transduction pathways. Mutations in the AP1B1 gene have been associated with a range of disorders, including neurological conditions and obesity, underscoring its significance in maintaining cellular homeostasis. As such, recombinant AP1B1 protein has become a focus of research aimed at elucidating its structure-function relationship and interactions with other cellular components. This research could provide insights into its role in disease mechanisms and potentially guide the development of targeted therapies. Given the complexity of the trafficking pathways and the importance of AP1B1 in peripheral processes, studies utilizing recombinant forms of the protein can lead to advancements in understanding protein sorting mechanisms and their implications in health and disease.
