Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
S100A2 is a member of the S100 protein family, which consists of small, calcium-binding proteins that are involved in various cellular processes, including cell cycle regulation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Research has shown that S100A2 is implicated in several physiological and pathological conditions, particularly in cancer, where it exhibits tumor suppressor and oncogenic properties depending on the context. Elevated expression of S100A2 has been associated with poor prognosis in various cancers, including breast and prostate cancer, suggesting its potential role as a biomarker and therapeutic target. Given its intricate involvement in cellular signaling and its dual role in tumor biology, the recombinant production of S100A2 has garnered significant interest in both basic and applied research. By generating S100A2 as a recombinant protein, researchers aim to elucidate its biochemical properties, interaction partners, and structural dynamics. This also facilitates the development of diagnostic and therapeutic strategies that exploit the unique characteristics of S100A2, potentially leading to novel treatments that can improve patient outcomes in cancers marked by S100A2 dysregulation. Furthermore, understanding the mechanisms by which S100A2 contributes to tumorigenesis may provide insights into broader oncological pathways, making it a valuable focus in cancer biology studies.
