Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
WIF1 (Wnt Inhibitory Factor 1) is a secreted glycoprotein that plays a critical role in the regulation of the Wnt signaling pathway, which is essential for various biological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and tissue homeostasis. Dysregulation of Wnt signaling is implicated in numerous diseases, particularly cancer, making WIF1 a significant focus for therapeutic interventions. Studies have shown that WIF1 functions as an antagonist of Wnt signaling, binding to Wnt proteins and preventing their interaction with Frizzled receptors, thereby inhibiting the downstream signaling cascade. Additionally, WIF1 has been found to have tumor-suppressive properties, as its expression is often downregulated in several types of tumors. Consequently, understanding the mechanism of WIF1 and its role in cancer biology can offer insights into potential diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. Research into WIF1 recombinant protein has gained momentum in recent years, aimed at elucidating its structure-function relationships, therapeutic potentials, and its role in various cellular contexts. By producing and characterizing WIF1 in a controlled environment, scientists hope to harness its inhibitory effects on Wnt signaling for developing innovative treatments, particularly for cancers where Wnt signaling is aberrant. Overall, the study of WIF1 represents a promising avenue in the intersection of molecular biology and therapeutic development, holding potential for improving outcomes in Wnt-driven malignancies.
