Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ATP8B2, a member of the P-type ATPase family, plays a crucial role in biliary lipid secretion and lipid homeostasis, primarily influencing the transport of phospholipids across membranes. Mutations in the ATP8B2 gene have been implicated in several liver diseases, most notably progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis type 1 (PFIC1), characterized by cholestasis, jaundice, and liver dysfunction. Research involving the recombinant expression of ATP8B2 protein is essential for understanding its functional mechanisms and interactions in cellular processes. By producing ATP8B2 in a recombinant system, scientists can analyze its transport activity, protein structure, and the consequences of specific mutations on its function. This research not only helps elucidate the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying ATP8B2-related disorders but also holds promise for the development of targeted therapeutic strategies. Additionally, studying ATP8B2 in a controlled environment allows for the examination of its role in cellular lipid metabolism, further detailing how its dysfunction can lead to metabolic and liver-related diseases. Overall, the investigation of ATP8B2 recombinant protein is vital for developing a comprehensive understanding of its biological significance and potential implications in treating associated disorders.
