Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PDE8A, or Phosphodiesterase 8A, is an enzyme belonging to the phosphodiesterase family, which plays a crucial role in regulating intracellular levels of cyclic nucleotides, specifically cyclic AMP (cAMP) and cyclic GMP (cGMP). These cyclic nucleotides are vital signaling molecules involved in various physiological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Dysregulation of PDE8A has been implicated in several diseases, such as cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases, making it a promising target for therapeutic intervention. The study of recombinant PDE8A proteins has gained attention as researchers aim to elucidate its structure, function, and regulatory mechanisms. This research often involves cloning the PDE8A gene, expressing it in suitable host cells, and purifying the recombinant protein to characterize its enzymatic activity and interaction with potential inhibitors. Understanding the biochemical properties of PDE8A and its role in cellular signaling pathways could provide insights into the development of novel pharmacological agents that modulate its activity, potentially leading to innovative treatments for various diseases. Consequently, PDE8A not only represents an important focus in basic biological research but also holds significant therapeutic potential in the field of medicine.
