Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MSH2 is a crucial gene that encodes a protein involved in the DNA mismatch repair (MMR) system, which plays a vital role in maintaining genomic stability by correcting errors that occur during DNA replication. Deficiencies or mutations in MSH2 can lead to microsatellite instability and are strongly associated with hereditary non-polyposis colorectal cancer (Lynch syndrome), as well as other malignancies. In recent years, the study of recombinant MSH2 proteins has gained attention as researchers seek to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying its role in DNA repair and its implications in cancer biology. By producing and characterizing recombinant MSH2, scientists aim to investigate its interaction with other MMR proteins, elucidate its structural dynamics, and assess the impact of specific mutations on its functionality. This research is particularly important for the development of targeted therapies and molecular diagnostics, ultimately contributing to improved strategies for cancer prevention and treatment. Additionally, understanding the properties of MSH2 can provide insights into the broader MMR pathway, highlighting the interconnectedness of various genetic factors in tumorigenesis.
