Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCDH12, or Protocadherin 12, belongs to the protocadherin gene family, which is comprised of cell adhesion molecules that play crucial roles in neuronal development and synaptic function. Understanding PCDH12's structure and function is vital for comprehending its involvement in various neurological processes and potential disorders. Research indicates that abnormal expression of PCDH12 may be associated with neurodevelopmental diseases and other psychiatric conditions, making it a significant target for studies aimed at understanding these disorders. Additionally, the extracellular domain of PCDH12 is known to mediate cell-cell adhesion, which is essential for the formation of neural circuits. The development of recombinant PCDH12 protein enables researchers to investigate its biochemical properties, interaction mechanisms, and potential as a therapeutic target. By studying the recombinant form of PCDH12, scientists can elucidate its role in neuronal connectivity and its implications in health and disease, paving the way for novel therapeutic strategies that may leverage this knowledge for treating neurodevelopmental disorders. Thus, the exploration of PCDH12 through recombinant proteins provides essential insights into its biological functions and establishes a foundation for future research aimed at addressing neurological conditions linked to its dysregulation.
