Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
TIMP4 (Tissue Inhibitor of Metalloproteinases 4) is a member of the TIMP family, which is critical in regulating matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) that are essential for extracellular matrix remodeling. The activity of MMPs is tightly controlled by TIMPs, and an imbalance between these proteins can contribute to various pathological conditions, including cancer, fibrosis, and cardiovascular diseases. Research on the recombinant production of TIMP4 has garnered interest due to its potential therapeutic applications, especially in conditions characterized by excessive MMP activity. Advances in biotechnology have enabled the efficient expression and purification of TIMP4, allowing for detailed studies of its structure-function relationship. Understanding TIMP4's interactions within the extracellular matrix and its regulatory role in tissue homeostasis is pivotal for developing novel therapeutic strategies. Furthermore, recombinant TIMP4 may serve as a biomarker for certain diseases or as a tool in the study of MMP-related pathways, underscoring the importance of its research in both basic and clinical sciences. Exploring TIMP4's role in disease mechanisms can pave the way for innovative approaches to modulate MMP activity and improve treatment outcomes in various conditions.
